OPTEX FA began as the industrial photoelectric sensor division of OPTEX CO., LTD., which launched its first built-in-amplifier photoelectric sensor in 1986 and supplied sensors to SICK AG under an OEM agreement from 1987. The business became an independent company in Kyoto in 2002 and launched its own product brand, FASTUS. It is a core company of OPTEX GROUP, listed on the Prime Market of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
The range covers detection, measurement and connectivity at the machine: built-in-amplifier photoelectric sensors, color mark and fiber-optic sensors, laser and TOF distance sensors, high-accuracy laser displacement, edge and 2D profile sensors, fixed and portable infrared thermometers, LED lighting and controllers for image inspection, color, pattern and OCR vision sensors, and IO-Link masters and network communication units.
