OPTEX FA launched its CVS1 all-in-one color vision sensor in 2003. The CVS2-RA packs the camera, LED lighting, display and controller into one IP67 housing, and inspects shape and direction by pattern matching or checks color across 65,536 colors. It holds up to 15 banks, and settings can be adjusted while the line keeps running. The CVSE1-RA, CVS1-RA and CVS3-RA cover simpler color checks and edge measurement.
For printed text, the MVS-OCR2 megapixel OCR sensor reads characters to stop misprints reaching the market, and sets up in three steps. Each camera processes its own image, so response time stays the same with up to three cameras, and the controller has a touchscreen and powers external lighting. The compact CVS4-RA and the MVS-PM-R and MVS-EM-R complete the range.
