Crowcon Detection Instruments has specialised in gas detection for more than 50 years and is part of Halma plc, the FTSE 100 group of safety, health and environmental technology companies. Its detectors are sold through a distribution network covering 85 countries, and the Crowcon Group also includes Sensitron, whose SMART fixed detectors and Multiscan++ control panels sit alongside Crowcon's own ranges.

The portable range runs from single-gas personal monitors such as UnoIQ, Gasman and Clip SGD to the T4, T4x and Gas-Pro multi-gas detectors, the DetectiveIQ area monitor and the IQhub and I-Test stations that bump test and calibrate them. Fixed systems are built from Xgard, XgardIQ and SMART point detectors, IRmax and IR Plus infrared hydrocarbon detectors, Fgard flame detectors and Gasmaster, Vortex and addressable control panels.
