Some gas hazards sit outside the process plant. For refrigeration and air conditioning, the Sensitron SMART 3 Blizzard, SMART 3-R and flush-mounted SMART 3-H-FM LITE detect refrigerant gases in machine rooms and commercial buildings by infrared sensor, in line with EN 378-3 and related refrigeration standards. For enclosed car parks, the SMART P-1 and P-2 measure carbon monoxide, nitrogen dioxide and petrol vapour to EN 50545-1, and the IP55 SMART 3-NC covers car parks and other non-classified areas.
BESafe is a dual-channel detector built for battery energy storage systems. It monitors hydrogen, carbon monoxide and methane to give early warning of thermal runaway, on pre-calibrated smart sensors that can be mounted away from the main unit, with two 4-20 mA outputs, RS-485 Modbus, relays, a built-in display and an audible alarm.
