Western stocks the monitoring accessories an MPI procedure calls for. W-FI field indicators read in gauss in ±10, ±20, ±50 and ±100 gauss ranges, each calibrated during manufacture in a Helmholtz coil — the W-FI-10 for checking demagnetisation and the higher ranges for residual fields. W-PT pull test bars verify yoke lift, are traceable to NIST and come with a certificate of compliance to ASTM E1444, ASTM E709 and ASME Section V, Article 7, with a pole-spacing scale on the side. QQIs, the MTU Test Piece No. 3, the Ketos ring and the Berthold gauge check field strength, direction and bath sensitivity, W-CT centrifuge tubes check bath concentration to ASTM requirements, and W-CC fluorescent crack comparators measure indication length under UV-A light.

For applying and viewing the media there are the silicone-rubber W-PB-4 powder bulb, the SPR-365 LED UV inspection kit and the W-PPS portable power supply, which runs a standard AC yoke for over 1½ hours continuously where mains power is not available. Western packages dry magnetic powder in four colours, in containers from 400 g to 22.7 kg, and supplies Sherwin wet method media including Glo-Netic fluorescent bath, Black Oxide No. 1, white contrast paint and cleaner/remover. Its mobile inspection booths can be configured as a temporary wet fluorescent station with hoods, bath recirculation and UV and white lights.
