Portable Hardness Testers
QH Family Leeb and UCI hardness testers for metals, from the basic QH2 to the heavy-duty QH7.
The QH Family measures metal hardness by the Leeb (rebound) method, the UCI method, or both, and converts results to the common hardness scales. Because the instrument is taken to the part, they suit large parts in situ, incoming and stocked material, heat-treated parts and castings.
The QH7 is the heavy-duty model in an aluminium enclosure, accepting all Leeb impact device types and 10, 50 and 98 N UCI probes, with GyroTag automatic impact-angle detection and correction. The QH5 is a Leeb tester and the QH5 U a UCI tester, both with CalTag calibration built into the probe, and the QH2 is a simple Leeb tester for steel. The QH7 and QH5 store 32,000 readings with real-time histograms and statistics.
