QC Family gauges for dry coatings on ferrous and non-ferrous metals, with special probes for difficult geometry.
The QC Family measures dry coating thickness — paint, varnish, anodising, zinc, chrome and similar — on ferrous and non-ferrous substrates, for both production and quality control. Depending on the model, they measure non-ferrous coatings on steel and non-metallic coatings on non-ferrous metals.
The QC5 has a 0 to 1500 µm standard probe with CalTag integrated calibration, automatic substrate detection, nine calibration modes and 32,000-reading memory. The QC3 uses the same probe with three calibration modes and 5,000 readings, and the QC2 is a basic gauge with an integrated probe, 0 to 1250 µm range and three calibration shims. Special probes — straight and angled mini probes, extended-range and V-cut probes — cover tight spaces, thick coatings and curved surfaces.
