Anton Paar builds the digital density meters, viscometers and process concentration sensors used as the reference in petroleum, chemical, beverage and pharmaceutical laboratories.
Anton Paar GmbH has manufactured precision measuring instruments in Graz, Austria since 1922, and introduced the first digital laboratory density meter in 1967 — the oscillating U-tube method that is now written into ASTM D4052, ASTM D5002 and ISO 15212. The density range runs from the handheld DMA 35 through compact and modular benchtop DMA instruments to L-Dens inline sensors that report concentration straight from the process line.
The viscosity range is just as broad: SVM Stabinger viscometers measure kinematic viscosity, dynamic viscosity and density from a single 2.5 mL sample to ASTM D7042, ViscoQC rotational viscometers cover spindle-based QC and simple rheological checks, and the Lovis 2000 M/ME rolling-ball viscometer works on as little as 400 µL for R&D and pharmaceutical samples.
