DMA Benchtop Density Meters
Laboratory density and concentration measurement by the oscillating U-tube method, to five and six decimal places.
The DMA benchtop range — the DMA 4100 M, DMA 4500 M and DMA 5000 M families and the modular instruments that followed them — measures the density, specific gravity and concentration of liquids by Anton Paar's oscillating U-tube principle. A small sample is injected into a borosilicate glass U-tube, the tube's oscillation frequency is read, and density follows from it; results arrive in under a minute with no floats, hydrometers or pycnometers to handle.
Full-range temperature control by Peltier element, reference oscillator correction and viscosity correction keep results stable across sample types, and the built-in conversion tables report directly in the unit the method calls for — API gravity, °Brix, alcohol by volume, acid concentration and many more. The instruments meet ASTM D4052, ASTM D5002 and ISO 15212, and support 21 CFR Part 11 compliant data handling for regulated laboratories.
Sample changers, filling units and viscometer or refractometer modules can be added so one workstation measures density, viscosity and refractive index on the same sample in a single automated run.
