PolyWorks|Inspector acts as a universal digitising hub. Portable probing devices — articulated arms and laser trackers — are operated through direct hardware plug-ins, and point-cloud scanners connect through plug-ins or by importing their measurement files. Major brands of CNC CMM are driven through direct drivers or the I++ interface, and readings from digital gauges and visual checks can be brought into the same project.
Because the plug-ins sit inside one software environment, operators learn a single interface for every device, and one inspection project can be measured on different device types. Multiple device positions can be aligned with temperature compensation and bundle adjustment to maximise global accuracy.
