A delta-shaped bluff body in the flow sheds Karman vortices alternately from each side, and their frequency gives the flowrate. With no moving parts and low pressure loss, a vortex meter is durable and repeatable, and works on liquids, gases and steam — which is why it is widely used for steam and energy accounting.
The EX DELTA II Smart Model adds conversion computing, self-diagnosis and loop check, with fixed or replaceable sensors that can be changed without stopping measurement. Battery-powered PAF5 models need no external supply, insertion types — including hot-tap versions — suit large lines, and the Eggs DELTA II is a compact flow monitor for energy consumption at individual equipment.
