OVAL's ultrasonic flowmeters measure the difference between the transit times of pulses sent alternately between two transducers. Because the calculation uses the inverse of the transit times and leaves out the speed of sound, the measurement stays accurate and stable, and multipath models with several sensor pairs raise accuracy further.
The Psonic-L4 uses four parallel beams to reach ±0.15% of reading on oil. The Psonic-1 is an explosion-proof gas meter that performs at very low pressures and flows, with RS-485 for remote setup and diagnostics. For liquids, the Psonic-S1 and UC-1 clamp onto the outside of the pipe, so flow can be measured with no cutting or construction work.
