Positive Displacement Flowmeters

A positive displacement flowmeter needs no external power: the fluid itself turns the rotors, and the flowrate is calculated from the number of revolutions. The principle gives high accuracy and is well suited to totalising, and OVAL's PD meters are approved in Japan for taxable transactions of petroleum products, making them a mainstay of certified custody transfer.

The range runs from the ULTRA OVAL and ULTRA UF-II — available with an auto temperature compensator that converts to volume at a reference temperature, and with HART communication — to the Hi SHOTGEAR circular-gear meters for fast, high-resolution signals at high pressure, FLOWPET and ECO OVAL electronic-register meters, GAS OVAL, mini meters and a sanitary milk meter. Mechanical and batch-control registers and pulse generators complete the line.
