Matherne's drilling recorder monitors up to seven drilling functions — weight, penetration, rotary RPM, rotary torque, pump SPM, pump pressure and pit level or fluid flow — on duplicate 12-hour or 24-hour strip charts. It is completely mechanical, needs no electrical power, and connects to existing instrumentation with quick disconnects.
The 12-inch circular chart recorder indicates and records pressures up to 20,000 psi, in portable or box/truck mount styles, with 1 or 2 pens and 1, 4 or 24-hour clocks. The HD heavy-duty recorders, in 12-inch and compact 8-inch sizes, use a crush-proof polypropylene case and can be calibrated to 30,000 psi.
