Cylinder & Magnetic Sensors
MK T-slot and C-slot cylinder sensors and MF/MG magnetic sensors for piston and magnet detection.
ifm cylinder sensors detect the magnet on the piston of pneumatic and hydraulic cylinders through the non-ferrous cylinder wall. The MK series fits T-slot cylinders with a self-locking fixture that drops in from the top of the slot and is adjusted without tools, and uses GMR or AMR cells for exact position detection with very small hysteresis. Versions are available for C-slot cylinders, welding environments, high load currents and IO-Link.
Magnetic sensors such as the MFS, MGT and MS5010 detect magnets through non-magnetic materials at longer ranges than inductive sensors, in cylindrical, rectangular, full-metal and pressure-resistant housings. The MFH series is designed for use on hydraulic cylinders.
