The 3NH spectrodensitometers — the new TS1010, TS1050 and TS1060 editions, the PS528 and PS530, and the YD5010 and YD5050 families — combine a densitometer and a spectrophotometer in one handheld instrument. They use 45/0 geometry to ISO 13655, the geometry the printing industry measures by, across a 400–700 nm spectral range.
Press operators read CMYK density and colour difference from the same patch, with density repeatability of ≤ 0.01D and colour repeatability of ΔE*ab 0.03, and Φ2, Φ4 and Φ8 mm apertures to suit fine control strips or larger areas.
