Hioki's bench power analysers are built for motor and inverter efficiency work. The PW8001 measures up to 8 power channels from DC to 5 MHz with a basic accuracy of ±0.03%, 18-bit 15 MS/s sampling (with the U7005 input unit), inputs rated to 1500 V DC CAT II, and automatic phase correction for Hioki current sensors — so high-frequency, low-power-factor power from SiC and GaN inverters can be measured accurately. It can analyse up to four motors at once and output results onto a CAN or CAN FD network.
For everyday power and consumption testing, the PW3335 (single-phase), PW3336 and PW3337 (two and three channels) power meters cover DC and 0.1 Hz to 100 kHz, up to 1000 V and 65 A by direct input, with harmonic analysis to the 50th order to IEC 61000-4-7 and external current-sensor inputs for up to 5000 A.
