Insulation Resistance & Earth Testers
IR4050-series and IR5050 insulation testers and FT6041 / FT6031-50 earth testers for field electrical safety testing.
Hioki's digital insulation testers cover 50 V to 1000 V in five ranges. The IR4059 adds Bluetooth, a digital bar graph, a 0.3-second response for PASS/FAIL judgement, 200 mA continuity testing and a built-in AC/DC voltmeter, while the IR4053 has a dedicated PV function for testing solar arrays. The IR5050 and IR5051 extend testing up to 5 kV for high-voltage equipment.
For earthing, the FT6041 earth tester supports the Wenner 4-pole method for soil resistivity, 3-pole and 2-pole measurement, the MEC clamp method that avoids disconnecting ground electrodes and a 2-clamp method, in an IP67 housing. The FT6380-50 clamp-on earth tester measures earth resistance on multi-grounded systems and also reads leakage and load current.
