Setting Standards & Calibration Masters
Rod and frame setting standards, lead standards and MIC TRAC gauge setting systems.
Indicator gauges must be preset before use. Gagemaker's rod-style MRP setting standards are pairs of precision-ground rods made to API 5B, labelled with connection size and serial number, while frame-style standards are rigid steel blocks machined to ±0.0003". Lead gauge standards are made to ANSI, API 5B and API 7-2, and rod-style standards set many JSS gauges for rotary shouldered connections.
The MIC TRAC MT-3000 is a bench-mounted length measuring system that measures parts, presets indicator gauges and calibrates hand-held gauges, with accuracies from ±0.0001" to ±0.0004" traceable to NIST. Standard ranges run from 0" to 12" (up to 60" available), and the optional Force-Lok feature gives constant measuring force for repeatability between operators.
