Pitch Diameter Gauges
Adjustable ball pitch diameter gauges for internal and external straight and tapered threads.
Pitch diameter is one of the most important thread inspections, because it governs whether two parts screw together properly. Gagemaker's ball pitch diameter (PD) gauges show the pitch diameter size of external and internal threads directly on an indicator; each gauge adjusts within a size range and uses interchangeable contact points for different thread forms and pitches.
For rotary shouldered connections, a pin or box location profile marks the thread to be measured, and a PD-8000-RSC or IT-5104-RSC gauge takes the reading — the whole check takes less than a minute. Gauges are set with a standard or on a MIC TRAC system, using setting dimensions from the TDWIN software, and are supplied with 0.144" (T144) contact points as standard on many models.
