UK-made hydrometers to BS 718 and ASTM E100, plus alcohol, soil, sea water and specific gravity types.
Brannan manufactures hydrometers in the UK, supplied with a UKAS or traceable calibration certificate. BS 718:1991 density hydrometers, aligned with ISO 387 and ISO 649, are calibrated in g/ml and adjusted at 20 °C; the S50 series is 190 mm long, divided in 0.002 g/ml over 0.050 g/ml spans.
ASTM E100 hydrometers 1H to 90H use the API scale and specific gravity for petroleum products and other liquids of low surface tension. The range also includes aviation fuel, alcohol (Sikes and Gay-Lussac), soil (ASTM and BS 1377), sea water, draft survey, Brix, Baumé, Twaddle, lactometer and battery-testing hydrometers.
