UK-made liquid-in-glass laboratory thermometers, including spirit-filled, BS 593, ASTM-equivalent and THERMcert pre-calibrated types.
Brannan still makes liquid-in-glass thermometers in the UK. Its general-purpose laboratory thermometers use 6.5 mm glass tubes with spirit filling and non-roll or tri-top caps, in 150, 205 and 305 mm lengths, with fillings that reach down to −200 °C. Normal fillings are red on a white back glass, with other colours available.
The range also covers BS 593 and ASTM-equivalent spirit thermometers, Lo-Tox and Breaksafe coated thermometers, and batch-sampling thermometers for fridges, freezers, incubators and ovens. THERMcert thermometers come with a traceable calibration certificate at 2 or 3 points, and all laboratory thermometers can be supplied with a UKAS certificate on request.
