Soft Start & Non-Return Valves
AS-series filling (soft-start) valves for safe pressurisation, and Series NR02 pilot-operated non-return valves.
A soft-start, or filling, valve builds pressure up gradually when a machine is switched on, so cylinders move to their start positions slowly rather than with a sudden jolt. The AVENTICS AS2-SSV, AS3-SSV and AS5-SSV filling valves open fully at approximately 50% of inlet pressure, work from 2.5 to 16 bar and are ATEX approved; they fit into Series AS air preparation units.
For safety functions, the Series AS3-SV uses redundant 3/2 valves to ISO 13849 and only releases supply air when all conditions for a safe start-up are met. Series NR02 pilot-operated non-return valves hold air in a cylinder or line; they can be screwed in separately or installed directly in piping.
