ETI's RayTemp infrared thermometers measure surface temperature without contact. The RayTemp 8 is a two-in-one instrument with a 12:1 target ratio covering −60 to 500 °C by infrared, plus an integral type K socket reading −64 to 1,370 °C with a probe, and it shows differential and average temperatures.
The RayTemp 38 has a 50:1 distance-to-target ratio for small targets at a distance, from −59.9 to 999.9 °C, and the RayTemp 28 covers high temperatures. The Thermapen IR combines an infrared sensor with a fold-away penetration or air probe.
