Electromagnetic acoustic transducer (EMAT) instruments enabling couplant-free ultrasonic testing on rough, dirty, or high-temperature surfaces.
ACS EMAT technology, including the A1270 EMAT thickness gauge, the high-temperature A1270 EMAT-HT, and the A1570 EMAT OEM module, generates ultrasonic waves electromagnetically so testing can be performed without liquid couplant. This makes EMAT instruments ideal for challenging surface conditions where conventional contact methods are difficult.
